Welcome to Green Atelier!

My Mission

My goal for Green Atelier is to make art education accessible and affordable for adults of all abilities. I strive to provide my students with centuries of drawing and painting knowledge distilled into easy-to-follow steps to help them reach mastery. By following these consistent methods, my students can confidently create professional-level artwork.

About Green Atelier

At The Green Atelier, I am proud to carry on the centuries-old tradition of atelier education. I offer a modern twist, however, as a virtual atelier. I work closely with a select group of dedicated students to provide them with practical drawing and painting lessons to help them become professional artists.

The journey begins with drawing, as it is the foundation of all visual art. Students will learn the 'language' of vision by copying master works and then apply that knowledge to drawing from life. When the student has achieved a high level of drawing, they can move on to painting. Painting starts with plaster casts and then progresses to painting from life.

In addition to drawing and painting, The Green Atelier also teaches canvas building, paint making, art business, art packing and handling, and more. With my guidance, students can gain all the skills they need to make their own atelier.
